4Finance Holding SA has signed a definitive agreement for the sale of TBI Bank EAD to Advent International, one of the most important global investors in private equity. The transaction will be carried out through the subsidiary Advent, TBI Financial Services BV, and marks a major strategic step in strengthening the presence of the American fund in the banking sector in Southeast Europe. «4Finance has transformed TBI into an agile, digital and deeply oriented organization. We share the same vision regarding the future of the bank industry,» says Ranjan Sen, Managing Partner, Advent. The transaction is subject to the necessary regulatory approvals, and the completion is estimated for the fourth quarter of 2025. TBI Bank is present in over 32,000 points of sale of commercial partners in its main markets – Bulgaria, Romania and Greece – and supports over 2.4 million customers in accessing the right financial solutions, through its application. In 2024, TBI reported a net profit of 50 million euros, up 18% compared to the previous year, according to consolidated and audited financial results, while maintaining a solid liquidity and capital position. «The TBI team and I are very excited about the perspective of a new chapter in our course to strengthen the Challenger Bank position in the region.
