Asked if he thought about running for the Capital City Hall, in case Nicusor Dan wins the presidential elections, Ciprian Ciucu said that a sector mayor is qualified for such a position. Regarding how he thinks Klaus Iohannis will go down in history, the first vice-president of the PNL, Ciprian Ciucu, said to Digi24 that he could remain «as a president who did not communicate enough and was not convincing in his second term, probably. I don't know». As for a possible candidacy for the Capital City Hall, if Nicusor Dan wins the presidential elections, he says he has thought about it. «I think that a sector mayor is (…) that it's me, that it's Tuţă, that it's Băluţă, that it's anyone… Especially a sector mayor who has a mandate behind him is much more qualified than anyone else which comes from outside and qualifies the job. So… It's a chore to be the general mayor», said Ciucu, adding that it's much easier to be a sector mayor. He stated that «this city» (No. «Bucharest») «is headed in a direction that I don't like. I wouldn't run away from such a candidacy if I could have people's trust.» Ciucu states that he does not necessarily want such a position: «I mean, I am not desperate to be the mayor of Bucharest».
