We are disappointed with news that appeared in the media in previous days on the topic of possible release in Škoda Auto. Some of these reports lacked sufficient research or reached for sensationalous conclusions. First of all, we want to emphasize that no further measures are planned beyond those openly communicated last year. In March 2024 we presented our medium -term plan: first to our employees, then also to the media and the general public. The automotive industry is undergoing the most fundamental transformation in its history, while Škoda Auto and Social Partner Kovo are responsible for measures that will even better prepare the car manufacturer for the future. These measures also include the gradual adjustment of the number of employees in the indirect area, using natural fluctuation using a demographic curve. Thanks to the sensitive approach to the socially responsible transformation, Škoda Auto avoids any reduction. The number of jobs in the indirect area will be reduced by 15 % by 2028 compared to 2024, while 5 % will be reinvested in new strategic areas. These steps will not affect employees in a direct area. Thanks to the Next Level Efficiency+ program, ŠKODA AUTO will remain competitive and profitable even in the coming years of transformation. Skoda Auto in close cooperation with KOVO trade unions takes all the steps needed to secure future jobs. The current news that appears in the media was based on the speech of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Škoda Auto Klaus Zellmer. He mentioned the Next Level Efficiency+ program, including these already communicated measures, at the Automobile Conference in Germany. At the same time, Škoda Auto supports retraining and educational measures within this program. The automaker is determined to support all employees in their further professional development. Despite the above -mentioned optimization, Škoda Auto expects an increase in jobs dealing with the topics of the entire Volkswagen Group, such as IT competence center or engine development. Klaus Zellmer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Škoda Auto, emphasizes: “We will not be discouraged by these reports from our common efforts to make Škoda Auto more successful than ever. On Thursday, March 13, 2025, we will publish our financial results for 2024 and the view of the near future. Anyone who would have doubts about the stability and success of our business model should look at them. ”
