From this amount, over 860 million lei represents the state aid. Other nine companies have already signed the financing contracts, being eligible to receive financing on the budget of 2023 and 2024. Of the 12 companies selected now, the largest investment is made by Dostol Trade, a company from Bulgarian shareholding. The company's turnover was at 3.2 mi. lei. Dostol Trade applied to receive financing of 131 million lei for a project of 223 million lei, according to the data published by the Agency for Financing Rural Investments (AFIR). On the other hand, Global Grain International, cereal trader that also has an oil factory, wants to invest 212 million lei in a rapeseed and soy seed processing unit in Ialomiţa. This new factory is designed to process up to 300,000 tons of soy or rapeseed seeds, strengthening the agricultural processing capabilities of Romania and contributing to the local economy, according to the data on the company's website. The construction of the unit is planned to start in the first quarter of the calendar year 2025, with an estimated term of 24 months until completion. «Once operational, the factory will not only increase the efficiency and processing capacity of soy and rapeseed seeds, but will also create significant employment opportunities and stimulate economic growth in the region,» according to the same source. Aldis, one of the largest meat processors on the local level, plans to expand the production capacity in Calarasi, and for this investment will take funds of 62 million lei through Investalim, ”the company representatives said.
