The Sameday courier company, part of the eMAG group, the largest actor in Romanian online trade, bought the competing company Cargus from the Mideuropa Partners investment fund, ZF data shows. The team was informed by this purchase that marks the exit of the Mideuropa Fund in the last company he had in Romania. Recently, just a few months ago, the Fund also sold Queen Maria. Cargus is one of the largest actors on the local courier market, with business of 567.6 million lei in 2024, plus 11%. Sameday has business of 1.2 billion lei. Through this acquisition, the company targets the 1st place in the courier market, a place owned by Fan Courier. The transaction, one of the largest in Romania in 2025, needs the agreement of the Competition Council.
