The radiography of the business of private clinics shows that the cumulative turnover of the 12,000 active companies in specialized medical assistance (CAEN code 8622) reached a record level of 15.2 billion lei, increasing by 22% compared to the previous year and almost five times higher than ten years ago, according to an analysis based on the latest data. Few sectors in the economy have achieved this performance in the last decade. In fact, in this sector not only the turnover was increasing from year to year, but also the number of companies and the net profit. In other words, the private health market has been one of the most dynamic and effervescent in the economy in the last decade: the number of companies operating in specialized medical assistance (CAEN code 8622) increased only last year by 1,500, from 10,879 to 12,396 companies. For comparison, in 2014 only 3,401 companies appeared in this sector.
