Patria Bank has signed a Confirming Bank Agreement agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), within the Trade Facility Program – TFP), through which the bank will be able to issue guarantee tools for banks in the EBRD network. Through this agreement, the Romanian companies benefit from easier access to external partners, additional sources of financing and to transactions with a higher degree of safety. «The accession to the TFP program of the EBRD is an important step for the Patria Bank and our customers. We understand the need to develop international trade, and we are proud to be able to support it. At the same time, collaboration with a financial institution as EBRD confirms our commitment to the highest standards of transparency and professionalism and it is involved with other international institutions» Vancea, general manager of Patria Bank. Patria Bank thus becomes part of the international network of the TFP program, strengthening its ability to support the development of foreign trade. As a confirmatory bank, Patria Bank will be able to issue guarantee tools for banks' clients in the EBRD network, the latter assuming the credit risk and strengthening the confidence between the parties. «We are pleased to receive the Patria Bank within the BERD trade facilitation program. Their participation will strengthen the support not only for the Romanian companies, but also for the companies in the countries in which the EBRD operates. Trade facility programs, EBRD. The TFP program, launched by the EBRD in 1999, includes over 100 banks issuing from the countries where the EBRD invests and over 800 confirming benches globally. Since launch, the program has facilitated commercial transactions worth over 40 billion euros, contributing to the development of international trade and to the integration of emerging economies into global value chains. Patria Bank reported in S1 2025 a net profit of 25.8 million lei, 42% higher than the same period of 2024.
