After at least 15 years of human resource deficit because the education system was, is and will be disconnected from the realities of the labor market – and the labor market is disconnected from the economic realities of the moment 15 years ago, 10 years ago, 5 years ago, from now. After 18 years, since Romania is a member of the European Union, in which the employers stole their specialized and qualified employees without remorse instead of mobilizing and working together to train the Industry 4.0 human resource. Western Europe is doing the same now, stealing the specialized and qualified employees from Eastern Europe, still ignoring the fact that the old continent is being invaded by workers and goods from Asia, that industrial production is on the ground, that industry is contracting and losing jobs. After 16 years since the closure of vocational schools, the main cause of the famous NEET – 1.5 million young people aged 16-25 who are not in some form of employment or education, are either out of the country to work, or working here illegally, or lazing around on their parents' salaries and grandparents' pensions. After 10 years since dual pre-university education was established in Romania and 3 years since university education was established, years in which employers had a chance to be partners of colleges and faculties. Instead of doing it, they stole their specialized and qualified employees without remorse. A few days ago, an executive, an employer, in a conference in Brussels, complained that there is no longer interest in pharmacy, that UMFs no longer attract students for pharmacy. Well if you stole them from other employers instead of helping UMFs attract new pharmacy students through partnerships – who is to blame? After the electoral years in which governments threw exemptions, vouchers, coupons, aid, scholarships, cards, facilities and other gifts left and right, encouraging, even glorifying unemployment. After I don't know how many years in which wages rose and rose and rose – it was said that it was about the European minimum wage, about convergence, about the creation of highly qualified jobs – reducing Romania's attractiveness as a target for foreign investments and ignoring the fact that the wage spiral has nothing to do with labor productivity. After 4 years of «Quiet quitting», «Quiet cracking», «Revenge quitting» and «Live quitting», scams invented by employment agencies, human resource recruitment platforms and headhunting companies, which made a lot of money. After all these years, because employees were lied to, were disconnected from the reality of the labor market or had unrealistic expectations, we are witnessing an accelerated loss of jobs due to the increase in direct costs, deindustrialization generated by the loss of competitiveness in front of Asia and, of course, artificial intelligence, which instead of helping jobs, helps to lose jobs. Jobs are going to Asia, bloggers swear at me for repeating that. The employer is slowly becoming king again, queues are formed at the few companies that hire, and the queues will be even longer if the period of unemployment is shortened. A few days ago I was giving my opinion saying that the minimum wage in the economy must increase, but not because it is not possible to live on it or because the politicians want to give alms, but because at the ridiculous value now it is the perfect camouflage for fiscal crime. I was wrong. At what prospects of job losses exist throughout the European Union, especially in Eastern Europe, especially in Romania, it is possible that the minimum wage will decrease – there will be queues at the employment centers. The employer becomes king again, but he is a sad king.
