The number of companies registered in Poland by Ukrainian citizens since the outbreak of the war in 2022 has registered a constant increase. Ukrainians now represent more than 10% of all new businesses, and the taxes they pay contribute to the budget, notes Rzeczpospolita. At the beginning of 2022, Ukrainians were registering over 200 sole proprietorships in Poland per month. After the outbreak of war, this number increased to 600, exceeding 2,800 businesses per month in March, August, September and October 2023 (totaling over 30,000 new Ukrainian businesses in Poland). The year 2024 ended with a total of 32,248 new businesses, a record number for Ukrainians who established more than 3,000 companies per month. And 2025 marks another record. By the end of November, Ukrainian citizens had registered up to 3,591 new businesses per month. Assuming they added nearly 2,000 listings in December, as in previous years, a new annual record of 33,000-34,000 companies was set. Thus, every tenth company registered in Poland is managed by Ukrainians.
