♦ The management of Antibiotice confirmed that the budget for 2026 remains intact and that the annual targets will be reached, anticipating a return of consumption on the domestic market in the coming quarters, against the background of mitigating the impact of the fiscal measures applied in 2025.Antibiotice Iași (ATB), a manufacturer of medicines controlled by the Romanian state, reported for the first three months of 2026 total revenues of 162 million lei, almost 10% lower than the similar period in 2025, in a context where the domestic market generated revenues of 67.9 million lei, 21% below the level of Q1/2025, while exports totaled 68.6 million lei, remaining relatively stable in currency compared to the previous year. International performance was the positive engine of the quarter. Sales on the European Union markets increased by 27% compared to Q1/2025, supported mainly by Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and the Scandinavian and Baltic countries. The Middle East recorded a doubling of sales compared to the same period last year: despite a difficult logistical context, the company responded promptly to the demand for anti-infective and cardiovascular drugs from the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Iraq. Europe remains geographically dominant, with around 45% of total exports, followed by Asia-Pacific with 25%, North America with 15% and the Middle East with 10%. You may also be interested in:
