The panel of the Bucharest Court of Appeal, called to rule on the appeal filed by Călin Georgescu regarding the annulment of the elections, decided to postpone the case. The stake is the settlement of the request to recuse the judge, as Călin Georgescu together with the lawyers argued that she is in conflict of interest and that she cannot judge in this trial. «Several recusal requests were made, after which we had to discuss requests for intervention, evidence, exceptions, and finally, we came out on the merits of the case. The court, at this moment, remained in its judgment regarding the merits of the case and the entire legal situation existing in the file», explained Marina Alexandru, Călin Georgescu's lawyer. At today's deadline, the winner of the first round of the presidential elections was expected by several supporters. Călin Georgescu said that judge Cristina Ardelean can become «one of the great heroes of this country. Her conscience matters».
