BTC purchases in all weathers. Bullish phase, lateralization or bearish phase: it doesn’t matter for Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy). In fact, Michael Saylor's company constantly buying Bitcoin since August 2020, whatever happens on the course. The recent flash crash of the crypto market is therefore an opportunity for Strategy to buy BTC at discounted prices.
The key points of this article:
Michael Saylor, through his company Strategy, still acquired 2,486 bitcoins despite market fluctuations. With now 717,131 BTC, Strategy holds more than 3.4% of the cryptocurrency's maximum supply.
Strategy buys another 2,486 bitcoins
Regularly, several times a month, Strategy announces new purchases of Bitcoin. With a total of 717,131 BTC, Saylor's Bitcoin hoard represents 3.4% of BTC
As can be seen in Michael Saylor's post above, Strategy now has an impressive total of 717 131 bitcoins in its reserves, which makes it by far the best equipped with Bitcoin Treasury Companies. The good news for the crypto-business is that this latest purchase has slightly reduces the average cost price of its BTC, since they were acquired for a total of just over $54.5 billion. Or an average purchase price of 76 027 dollars per BTC. This fabulous crypto-treasure now represents more than 3.4% of the maximum and limited supply of 21 million bitcoins. And even, almost 3.6% of the 20 million BTC currently in circulation. Strategy, however, remains in a somewhat delicate situation, since the capital losses, although latent, on its Bitcoin investments amount to billions of dollars. However, Michael Saylor claims that his company could withstand the shock even if Bitcoin fell to $8,000 ! Let us still hope that the bottom (low point) of this current bearish phase is found well before (if we have not already endured it on February 6).
