The shares of the companies OMV Petrom (SNP) and Romgaz (SNG) registered increases of 3.4% and 3.3%, respectively, two hours after the opening of the trading session on Tuesday at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, thus displaying the highest dynamics in the BET structure. The reference index thus appreciates by 1.2%, reaching a new historical intra-day maximum of 35,396 points, up by about 45% since the beginning of the year, according to bvb.ro data. «(Neptune Deep – no) is the main reason for SNP and SNG. There are strong double increases and significant trading volumes», says Antonio Oroian, broker at Goldring, for ZF. It also benefits from the fact that they are included in the BET index and money automatically enters them from ETFs, funds, etc.,» adds the broker. Romgaz shares have risen by 125% in the last year, to a capitalization of 63 billion lei. The state-owned company ended Q1/2026 with a net profit of 973 million lei, up 2.3%, on a turnover of 2.14 billion lei, minus 10%. OMV Petrom securities appreciated by 67% in the last 12 months, bringing the company’s market value to around 80 billion lei. In the first three months of the year, the company reported sales of 9.6 billion lei, up 7%. Net profit decreased by 4%, to 1 billion lei.
