Distributie Energie Electrică Romania invested 66.8 million lei in the modernization of the electricity distribution network in Maramureş County

Distribuţie Energie Electrică Romania (DEER), the largest local energy distributor, has completed an investment project of 66.8 million lei (13.2 million euros), of which almost 51.5 million lei (10.2 million euros) are non-refundable funds accessed through the Modernization Fund, Financing Axis 3, which involved the modernization of the 20 kv Sighet-Teceu, 20 kv Sighet-Costui and LEA 20 kV Sighet-Radio Vad, part of the electricity distribution network in Maramureş county. This is the second DEER project financed by the European Commission through the Modernization Fund, Funding Axis 3 – Modernization and Construction of new energy infrastructure sections – 3.2 Energy infrastructure – Support for the expansion and modernization of the electricity distribution network. Following the investment made, users will benefit from an electricity distribution service with safety, permanence and continuity standards, from 10 territorial administrative units, plus a part of the town of Sighetu Marmaţiei, according to a press release sent by the company Distribuţie Energie Electrică Romania.
