It might seem that the multiplication of gross wages also leads to the corresponding multiplication of net wages. So if, for example, your gross salary doubles, the pension you actually get will also double. Not so. We will assume a gross salary of K35,000 and K70,000 in 2025. We will assume an employee without children, without maternity leave and without disability discounts.

Gross salary K35,000 and K70,000

An employee with a gross salary of K35,000

The employee receives 28,260 K isto. That's 80.7% of his gross salary. The total cost of the employer (formerly known as super gross salary) is 46,830 K. So the employee only has to pay the employer 166% of the total salary.

An employee with a double gross salary of K70,000

The employee will not receive K53,520, but K53,950. That's 77.1% of his gross salary. The total cost of the employer is K 93,660. So the employee only has to pay the employer 174% of the total salary.

Is that why?

In the calculation of the guaranteed salary, not only a percentage of tax deductions (social insurance, health insurance, tax) are subtracted from the gross, but also a fixed amount of tax deductions, which reduces the ratio between the gross and the guaranteed salary. If it concerns employees without children, without maternity leave and without discounts for disability, then this item is a discount on fees. That is 30,840 kroner, regardless of gross wages.
