Leading TTS in the teleconference for the presentation of the results on Q1 and taking questions from investors.♦ The very abundance raises a new operational problem. In the last year, several large grain intermediaries in Romania have restricted their activity, leaving a gap between farmers and the large multinational companies that buy grain in the port of Constanța. ♦ «A semi-vacuum has been created between these multinational companies and farmers with the disappearance of some important intermediaries», explained TTS management ♦ The direct consequence is that TTS expects to be more exposed to road transport, to the detriment of river transport, in sending grain to the port.Transport Trade Services (stock symbol TTS), the largest operator of river transport and port operations on the Danube-Constanța corridor, enters the agricultural season with the best prospects for the summer harvest in recent years, but with a concern: the disappearance of some important grain intermediaries from Romania creates a semi-vacuum in export logistics that could affect cargo flows to the port of Constanţa. «The summer harvest is practically assured. It would take an extreme event to be significantly affected», said TTS management during the video conference to present the results of the first quarter of 2026, organized on June 5. Barley is announced «probably at the highest level of the last many years», rapeseed is «in a similar situation», and wheat is at last year’s level. Overall, the company estimates a harvest «between very good and exceptional». The company has a capitalization of 1 billion lei. You may also be interested in:
