The trading session started at the Bucharest Stock Exchange with an appreciation of 0.15% for the BET reference index, whose structure includes the 20 most liquid companies listed on the Romanian capital market. The index thus reached a new record of 21,811 points, up by 30.4% since the beginning of the year. BET-TR, where dividends attributed to investors are included, appreciated by 37.3% in the same interval, according to BVB data. Today's dynamics came against the background of increases marked by Transgaz (3.7%), Transport trade Services (2.2%), Premier Energy (1%), Aquila (0.6%) and OMV Petrom (0.6%). Issuers such as Electrica (-2.2%) and One United Properties (-1.3%) closed on the downside. The liquidity of the two stock markets – the main segment and AeRO – amounted to almost 40 million lei. Also today, the government bonds from the latest Fidelis edition, concluded last Friday with 2.2 billion lei, entered the Stock Exchange system. The actual listing takes place on October 23. In western Europe, the Stoxx 600 index was up 1% late in the session as investors bet on interest rate cuts in the United States and economic stimulus measures in Japan; they are trying to balance fears about US regional banks with hopes for a wave of solid quarterly results for Wall Street's artificial intelligence giants, Reuters news agency writes.
