In the Highlands, the average gross monthly nominal wage reached the recalculated number of employees for the first six months of 2025 amounts of CZK 43,019, which represents an increase of 6.2 %against the same period of the previous year.
From the point of view of regional comparison, this is the eighth highest value, the higher average level of wages had the capital city of Prague and the Central Bohemian, South Moravian, Pilsen, Hradec Králové, Ústí nad Labem and South Bohemian regions. The growth of the average wage was the fifth lowest in the Vysočina region in relative statements from the Czech Republic and lagged behind the national level by 1.0 percent. In absolute terms, wage growth in the Highlands was also the fifth lowest and lagged behind the national level by 724 CZK. Overall, the average wage in the Highlands for the nationwide average is also lagging behind (by CZK 5,128). Consumer prices in the Czech Republic increased by 2.6 %in the same period, so the real wage in the Vysočina Region compared to the previous year It increased by 3.5 %. Compared to the nationwide level, this is a significantly lower increase, in regional comparison it is the fifth lowest.
Number of employees It increased at the national level slightly, at the regional level it increased slightly in five regions (significantly only in Prague), while employment decreased in nine regions, most in the Moravian -Silesian Region (by 1.0 %). In the Highlands, the number of employees decreased by 0.4 %compared to the first six months of 2024.
In the 2nd quarter of 2025 has reached an average wage in the region above 44 022 CZKin year -on -year comparison was an addition of CZK 2,759 (6.7 %). Consumer prices in the Czech Republic increased by 2.4 %in this period, in fact the wage increased by 4.2 %. The average number of employees in the second quarter of 2025 in the region decreased by 0.2 thousand. persons (-0.1 %) to 172.5 thousand.
