Automobile production in Romania reached a total volume of 453,955 units in the first ten months of 2025, according to data from the Romanian Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACAROM). The level is 2.7% below that recorded in the similar period of 2024, but it keeps the local industry above the stability threshold of 450,000 cars per ten months, in a European context characterized by the decrease in demand and the adjustment of production to the new emission standards. In October, the factories in Mioveni and Craiova manufactured 54,756 cars, 6.6% less than in October 2024. Of the total, 31,244 came from the Dacia Mioveni lines, and 23,512 from Ford Otosan Craiova. The monthly analysis shows an oscillating evolution depending on the availability of components and the calibration of production flows. In January, 39,463 cars were produced, almost 19% less than the previous year, but the following months brought a steady recovery: 45,797 in February, 50,463 in March, 44,264 in April, 51,194 in May and 53,035 in June. In the summer, the July-August period totaled 62,584 units, followed by 52,399 in September and 54,756 in October, maintaining the monthly average at over 45,000 cars.
