Even on the decline, inflation in Turkey remains more than three times higher than in Romania, which continues to erode purchasing power and put pressure on incomes. In Romania, the average gross salary has reached 9.868 lei in December 2025, which means approx 1,970 euros per month. In Turkey, the latest public annual value is of 39,253 Turkish lira per month for 2024, the equivalent of approx 763 euros per month. The largest listed company in Romania, by market capitalization, is Hidroelectrica, with a capitalization of 66 billion lei (13 billion euros). In Turkey, the leader is Aselsanwith a capitalization of approx 34 mld. euroalmost 3 times higher. Beyond the macroeconomic indicators, according to Transfermarkt, the total value of Romania's lot is about 104 million euros, while Turkey's lot is valued at about 453 million euros. In the case of Romania, the most valuable player is Radu Drăguşin, rated at 20 million euros, very close to Andrei Raţiu, valued at 18 million euros. On the other hand, Turkey comes with a lot stronger in terms of value, and the most valuable player is Arda Güler, valued at 90 million euros, followed by Kenan Yıldız, valued at 75 million euros.
