However, not everyone succeeds in building these rituals alone. And where there is a void, there is someone who tries and sometimes succeeds in filling it. It was 2014 when Bogdan Vladu, who was working at Domo at the time, found that he had no one to go out with. It was a sunny November weekend and, although he felt like going for a walk, the reality was familiar: a few messages sent on Facebook, a few quick replies – «I’m not in Bucharest», «I have other plans», «I don’t feel like it». In a few minutes, the desire to go out was met by the lack of availability of the others. However, the moment did not pass without an echo. Thinking that his situation is not unique, but probably common to many others, an idea came to him: what if there was a place where people who have no one to date could find each other? Also inspired by a recent discussion about Facebook groups, he got out of bed and created «Let’s socialize!» – a name that exactly reflected the need at that moment.
