Telecommunications and software / IT companies almost equally share the ranking of the ten largest IT&C companies on the local market by 2024, shows an analysis by ZF based on the data available on the website of the Ministry of Public Finance. The top 3 in the standings is still dominated by the players in Telecom and the situation will be maintained in the following years including on the background of Telekom Romania Mobile to Vodafone and Digi, who will thus record higher revenues after the transaction is completed, in the third quarter of this year. It should be noted, however, that the telecom market decreased in 2024 by 6% to 3.24 billion euros, according to data from the National Regulatory Authority in Communications, and of the first four players, three showed net losses.
