Bryan Jardine, Partner, Cornelia Postelnicu, Counsel and Anca Jurcovan, Partner Wolf Theiss assisted Rheinmetall – the strongest European company in the armaments industry – regarding the establishment of a joint venture – Rheinmetall Victoria – which will build from scratch an ammunition powder factory in Victoria, Brasov county. The partnership was signed on November 3, in an event attended by representatives of Rheinmetall, together with the Prime Minister and other officials of the Romanian Government. Rheinmetall was assisted by lawyers Wolf Theiss, Partner Bryan Jardine and Counsel Cornelia Postelnicu, in relation to the corporate aspects. Partner Anca Jurcovan provided advice on foreign direct investments (FDI) and authorization procedures for economic concentrations. The project, worth 500 million euros, will significantly expand the European powder production capacity, strengthen NATO's eastern flank and create more than 700 highly qualified jobs in the Romanian defense industry. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, and production is expected to begin within two years.
