On Monday, American stocks sent a strong signal for the agreement between the US and Iran, which should end the conflict and gradually facilitate the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The agreement was to be signed digitally, the official signature was to take place in the evening. The S&P 500 added 1.7% and the tech Nasdaq added 3.1%. In Europe, the STOXX 600 rose by 0.2%. In the S&P 500, information technology strengthened the most (+3.4%), on the other hand, the worst sector was energy (-3.6%). The main thorn in the dark was geopolitical de-escalation and the sharp drop in oil. Brent fell to USD 83 per barrel and WTI to USD 81 per barrel after the previous tension. Shares linked to the AI boom were the most bullish. Western Digital rose 16% and was the largest growing stock in the S&P 500. Micron rose a tenth, AMD rose 7%. Nvidia issued bonds for USD 25 billion, investor demand exceeded their supply several times. Nvidia shares were up 3%. SpaceX shares were up another fifth to close above $190 per share. From the IPO price, u sent about 40%. The biggest decliner in the S&P 500 was Fox, whose shares fell 16% after announcing that it would buy Roku for $22 billion.
