As part of the Blockchain4Youth initiative, a program that includes a comprehensive set of educational programs, Bitget announced its partnership with the upcoming WAIB Summit Hackathon, reinforcing its commitment to cultivating the next generation of Web3 talent.
WAIB Summit Hackathon
Recognized as one of the biggest Web3 & AI innovation challenges in Europe, this edition of the WAIB Summit Hackathon takes place at KU Leuven, Belgium from November 14-16, bringing together students, developers, entrepreneurs and leading researchers to actively shape the future of Decentralized Intelligence. As a Silver sponsor, Bitget actively engages with the new generation of innovators. The company will participate in a panel discussion titled «The Future of Web3 & AI: Empowering the New Generation,» where it will share its expertise on how these critical technologies will reshape creativity, identity, and opportunity. The WAIB Hackathon is designed to meet the growing demand for talent by challenging participants to develop breakthrough projects that leverage the synergy between AI frameworks – such as LLMs, AI Agents and Decentralized AI – and core blockchain technologies such as Ethereum, Solana and ICP. Participants will innovate within four competitive tracks: developing an AI-powered consumer application, creating a fully functional web application through an exclusive interaction with Caffeine.ai, designing and launching an AI-generated digital influencer, and developing applications that fundamentally change the way people discover, compare and buy products using advanced AI tools.
Explosive growth of Crypto and AI fields
Bitget's dedication is a direct response to the explosive and interconnected expansion of the cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence markets. These two sectors have the highest potential for growth over the next decade, requiring immediate investment in human capital. According to data from Mordor Intelligence, the global crypto market size is expected to reach an impressive $18.15 trillion by 2030, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30%. Similarly, the artificial intelligence market is poised to experience comparable growth, with Grand View Research estimating a CAGR of 31.5% between 2025 and 2033, with a total sector value of USD 3.5 trillion in 2033. Such phenomenal market development will generate huge demand for new talent. As a recent study by Bitget Research highlighted, employment in AI has already seen an explosive growth of 75–100% year-on-year, with the number of available positions globally surpassing the one million mark. Forecasts suggest that the widespread adoption of blockchain technologies could lead to the creation of 1.5 million jobs by 2030. Ignacio Aguirre Franco, CMO of Bitget, emphasized the strategic importance of supporting educational initiatives, stating: «Web3 has incredible potential to influence industries around the world, but growth of this magnitude is impossible without the necessary human capital. Our dedication ensures that we provide the brightest young minds with practical challenges they need to turn theory into valuable solutions for industry. We are committed to supporting the 'Next Billion Minds' that will truly unlock the decentralized future.» Join our 33,000+ subscribers. No spam, just useful info.
