Relaxing with cows: Cow-hugging sessions have come to be increasingly sold by farmers in the US or UK

Appearing for some time, cow-hugging sessions are offered to a growing number of farmers in the US or Great Britain, who are looking for new sources of income to compensate for declines in other areas of the business, writes The Washington Post. Some came up with the idea remembering the calming effect of hugging cows as a child, others remembered the competition and applied what they saw. They either train adult cows to allow themselves to be petted and hugged, and then sleep with their heads on the laps of visitors, if they feel safe, or they put calves to work at a few months old, because they are easier to manage. Customers are of all ages, from children to the elderly, and some like to read while their cow sleeps with her head on her lap.
