For the Black Friday period, the company expects an increase in volumes by more than 70% compared to a normal period. The peak of orders during this period is expected to be on November 10, when Sameday estimates a number of 850,000 parcels registered in a single day.

Sameday, the second largest local courier company, has an investment budget that amounts to 80 million euros, much more than the initial expectations, which placed the budget at around 60 million euros, according to the information provided by the company's representatives. «We have invested a lot in the area of software technology, in the area of warehouses and sorting technology, in regional development and in the network of easyboxes. In the last five years, we have invested over 250 million euros, of which, this year, we have allocated 80 million euros, above the initial expectations that put the budget at 60 million euros. Among the big investments we already have this year is the construction of a new hub, we have invested in sorting technology in six hubs, but also for regional development. About 25% of the investments went to regional development, in Hungary and Bulgaria», says Lucian Baltaru, CEO, Sameday Group. The investments made in recent years have led to an increase in delivery and sorting capacity, thus being able to process up to 1 million parcels per day in the three hubs in Bucharest, Sibiu and Brasov and in the rest of the logistics network.
